Purchase Agreement

Purchase Price & Payment Details

  • Purchase Price: $500
  • Contract Writing Fee:
    • $250 non-refundable fee is required to hold the puppy.
    • The remaining $250 must be paid to secure the puppy, making it unavailable to other buyers.
    • Non-refundable and transferable to another puppy.
  • Payment Methods for Deposit:
    • PayPal (Friends & Family)
    • Zelle
    • Apple Pay
    • Varo
    • Chime
    • E-Transfer (Canada Only)
    • Bank Wire Transfer
  • Final Payment:
    • The remaining balance must be paid in cash at pickup.
    • If using a puppy nanny, the puppy must be paid in full and cleared before departure.

Pickup & Boarding Policy

  • Puppy must be picked up within one week of being notified it is ready (typically around 9 weeks of age).
  • Late Pickup Fees:
    • $50 per week boarding fee for up to two weeks.
    • After two weeks, the puppy will be made available to another buyer, and the contract writing fee will not be refunded or transferred.

AKC Registration & Breeding Restrictions

  • Limited AKC Registration:
    • This puppy is sold as a pet only with LIMITED AKC registration.
    • Buyer agrees that if they choose to spay/neuter the puppy, the procedure shall not be performed before the puppy is 6 months old, as medically recommended, and must be completed by 18 months of age.

Health Guarantee & Veterinary Care

  • Health at Time of Purchase:
    • Puppy is current on vaccines (as noted on provided vaccination records).
    • Comes with a vet certificate and a clean bill of health.
  • 1-Year Genetic & Congenital Defect Guarantee:
    • Covers life-threatening genetic or congenital defects resulting in death.
    • Exclusions: Contracted illnesses, accidents, parasites, or issues stemming from improper care.
    • Common breed-specific conditions (e.g. luxating patellas, collapsing trachea, hypoglycemia) are not covered.
  • Claim Process:
    • Buyer must notify the seller immediately with a written diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian.
    • If the puppy dies within the guarantee period, a necropsy is required to confirm the cause of death.
    • Refunds or replacements are offered for puppies of equal or lesser value.

Buyer Responsibilities

  • Provide a loving, clean, and sanitary home.
  • Ensure access to appropriate veterinary care.
  • Avoid leaving the puppy kenneled for extended periods.
  • Do not leave the puppy unsupervised with small or young children.

Rehoming & Seller’s Right of Refusal

  • If the buyer needs to rehome the puppy, the seller has the first right of refusal.
  • The puppy must not be placed in:
    • Dog pounds, rescues, shelters, puppy mills, pet stores, or similar enterprises.

Legal & Contractual Terms

  • Litigation:
    • In the event of legal action, the buyer agrees to:
      • Cover all attorney fees, court costs, and travel expenses for the seller.
      • Return the puppy to the seller until court proceedings are finalized.
    • Jurisdiction for any legal action is in the United States.
  • Final Sale:
    • All sales are final. By signing this contract, the buyer agrees to all terms and conditions outlined.
